Her, Me
Her, Me
poplar wood, steel, polish
25' long, 50" wide

I have created ladders with broken rungs for previous pieces, using them as a metaphor to suggest a moment that is gone and now out of reach. Her, Me has thirty-seven rungs, each one representing a year my mom and I were in one another’s lives. The final rung is broken, signifying the end of our time together. Her, Me is also a necklace and when worn it evokes a feeling of sentimentality.
