The past, memories and my emotions inspire my work as an artist. My current sculptural pieces are fabricated from wood, metal, found objects, fabric and plaster. My emotional state following my mother’s passing has been one of extreme grief and this sorrow has been the influence for this body of work. The pieces are about connecting with the past, hidden emotions and moments that seemed trivial at the time until now, when they are no longer.
